Description
SAIC is seeking Radar Systems Engineers to support our FAA customers in the planning, acquisition, deployment and sustainment of new Air Traffic Control surveillance systems. The successful candidates will provide consulting and advisory services to project teams, operations, and engineering teams to ensure plans and solutions are aligned with the business direction and assist in the analysis, design, and implementation of National Airspace System (NAS) surveillance radar modernization initiatives and projects. Responsibilities may include:  Adapting and applying applicable technical, administrative and business processes and procedures to managing large complex systems and acquisition projects for major functional areas.  Providing expertise to support development and analysis of requirements, program/project budgets, standards and schedules.  Coordinating with multiple stakeholders on matters pertinent to the successful implementation of the program or functional area.  Applying analytical techniques in gathering data to solve complex technical problems (e.g., requirements definition, operations research, modeling, etc.)  Bachelor’s degree in related engineering or technical discipline.  Experience in serving as systems engineering support for complex and extensive programs and systems  Knowledge and prior application of the FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) policy and processes, including the procurement and deployment of large NAS systems and all relevant orders, guidelines, and specifications.  Expert level knowledge of FAA radar surveillance systems  Ability to support multiple areas including program planning and management, requirements development and analysis, system design, system implementation and operations/sustainment.  Travel requirements will vary by position.  Excellent communications skills.  Ability to satisfy FAA resume approval and security requirements.
