We are committed to pioneering innovative solutions, enabling cutting-edge technologies, and advancing a cleaner, and more resilient and secure world. We are hiring creative, motivated, and talented people with a passion for doing what's right, what's smart, and what works.   Description/Job Summary Lindahl Reed is seeking an experienced Radiation Protection Specialist to provide services which may include, but are not limited to: field oversight, information, support, and advice to the EMCBC or Small Site Director with respect to the safe implementation of decontamination and decommissioning activities for contaminated facilities and environmental remediation activities, review demolition activities, work packages, work plans, radiological surveys, procedures, permits, Real and Personal Property radiological release packages and regulatory documentation, and assist in the assessment of contractor Radiological Programs and documents.   Qualifications, Skills and Experience * Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field and be a Certified Health Physicist (CHP) or a Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear or Radiological Engineering.   * Must have a minimum of five (5) years’ direct experience in radiological safety program implementation and oversight. All levels must be able to perform medium work involving climbing, walking, visual inspection, and tolerate exposure to environmental conditions while performing assessments. Desired experience in one of the following * DOE experience * D&D and/or soil & groundwater remediation project experience and/or nuclear facility experience. * Five years of experience performing radiological safety may be used in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree. * Direct experience in development and assessment of DOE radiological protection plans, programs, and implementing procedures to meet the requirements of 10CFR 835, Occupational Radiation Protection, and DOE Order DOE O 458.1, Radiation Protection of the Public and the Environment Requirements: * Education and experience requirements listed above. * Must be a U.S. citizen. * Successful drug screening. * Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security or clearance badge.
