The Radiation Therapist follows treatment plans and radiation practices and standards; positions patients for treatment; administers prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts, using radiation therapy equipment to minimize the risk of damage to organs at risk. This position also educates, prepares, and reassures patients and their families by answering questions, providing physical assistance, and reinforcing physicians’ advice regarding treatment reactions or post-treatment care.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Preferred Bachelor’s Degree Radiation Therapy
• Registered Radiation Therapist (ARRT-RTT) - within 90 days
• State License - within 90 days
• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association - within 90 days
