Job Summary: The Staff Radiation Therapist in the Radiation Oncology Department applies ionizing radiation to pediatric, adult and geriatric patients in accordance with the prescription and instructions of the Radiation Oncologist. They must be capable of operating radiation-producing equipment utilizing radiation safety measures, and be able to perform a series of complex and precise technical procedures. Education: Required: A graduate of an ARRT approved radiologic technology program. Reference: https://www.arrt.org/Education/ (compliant with all continuing education mandates). Preferred: Experience: Required: A minimum of six months clinical experience in Radiation Therapy Preferred: Position Requirement(s): License/Certification/Registration Required: Must be registry eligible or registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy Technology.
