RADIATION THERAPIST – RADIATION ONCOLOGY Location: Newport Beach, CA Assignment: LOA Coverage – Initial 3-month assignment Schedule: Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM–7:00 PM Remote: No Travel: Travel between Newport Beach and Irvine locations required Compensation: $89.00 per hour POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist to support the Radiation Oncology Department within the Hoag Family Cancer Institute. Under the direction of the Radiation Oncology Manager, the Radiation Therapist will assist with tumor localization, participate in treatment planning, and deliver prescribed ionizing radiation treatments to patients in accordance with Radiation Oncologist instructions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Deliver high-dose ionizing radiation treatment to patients as prescribed by Radiation Oncologists. * Localize tumors and participate in treatment planning. * Perform CT simulation techniques accurately and safely. * Follow departmental standard operating procedures. * Maintain working knowledge of specialized instrumentation, quality control requirements, and preventive maintenance procedures. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS * Experience as a Radiation Therapist in a radiation oncology setting. * Proficient in CT simulation techniques. * Experience with Elekta Mosaiq required. REQUIRED LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATIONS * Current California Department of Health Services Radiologic Technologist license – Therapeutic. * Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy or equivalent recognized by ARRT. * Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification approved by the American Heart Association.
