Description We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Radiation Therapist to join our healthcare team on a PRN (as needed) basis. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality radiation therapy treatments while providing exceptional patient support and care. Candidates perform a variety of technical tasks associated with the localization of tumors and the administration of radiation to patients, predominately adult and geriatric, as prescribed by the physician. Candidates participate in treatment planning, custom block and immobilization device design and fabrication, dosimetry calculations and quality control and assurance. Candidates assist in training of support personnel. Has full access to patient health information. Requirements Must be ARRT certified in Radiation Therapy. Minimum 1 year experience as a Staff Therapist in a modern Radiation Therapy center is preferred. BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross Must possess full range of body motion to pass a basic FIT test to include bending, stooping, standing and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Also, moving patients, lifting accessory equipment, lots of walking, pushing wheelchairs and stretchers.
Responsibilities
Perform technical tasks for tumor localization and administer radiation treatments to adult and geriatric patients. Participate in treatment planning, dosimetry calculations, and the fabrication of immobilization devices.
