Description

Salary Range:$81,479.06 - $81,479.06 Works under the direction of the Manager of Communications in the Radio Maintenance Department.Directs and coordinates work of subordinate personnel responsible for the maintenance and installation of Police, Fire and local government communications equipment and vehicular mounted safety equipment.Responsible for providing work direction, assigning duties, planning of work schedules, and issuing equipment to all bureaus; keeps records of completed repairs in compliance with Federal Communications Commission’s rules and regulations; maintains asset records as required by City Hall Asset management; works with Fixed Asset Coordinator to collect, inventory, and dispose of old equipment; and maintains equipment database of assignments and locations. Travels throughout the city to visit different worksites.

Responsibilities

Directs and coordinates the maintenance and installation of communications and safety equipment for police, fire, and local government. Manages work schedules, asset records, and ensures compliance with FCC rules and regulations.
