Applications are invited for the regular position of part-time Radio Technician in the School of Media. The starting salary is $24.05 /hour for an 18-hour work week for eight months of the year. Additional hours may be required at peak times during the year, such as the start or end of term. This position is located at the Welland Campus.
Reporting to the Associate Dean, School of Media, the successful candidate is responsible for supporting the School of Media Studies faculty and staff in the delivery of radio courses in our program titled Broadcasting: Radio, Television and Film program.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A three (3) year diploma in Broadcasting: Radio, Television and Film, television production or similar field of study
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills
• Ability to operate ADOBE Audition on a PC computer
• Previous experience with Niagara College’s radio studio is preferred

• Assist Professors and staff with the organization and placement of the radio studio and equipment
• Under faculty guidance, provide instructional support to students in the V109 radio studio
• Maintain continuity of file sharing and archive/storage within the radio studio
• Support equipment booking processes for studio production needs
