Description

To ensure that we remain in the lead as new technologies emerge, we are looking for a senior team member to join our existing radio team to help plan our long-term radio product portfolio evolution. You will have the opportunity to make a real difference to Nokia’s business success by working with global customers to understand their needs as well as with top HW and SW suppliers to see how their evolving offering can help better address those needs. Beyond customers and suppliers, you will work with other internal and external parties to find the best tools to support our product evolution.
With an ever-growing number of frequency bands, different operator preferences, and needs, Nokia must develop, and maintain, a wide portfolio of radio products, ranging from small cells through to Massive MIMO (mMIMO). With careful management and technology evolution, Nokia ensures our leadership as new technologies emerge. This is where your expertise comes into play.

As part of our team, you will:

  • Identify and develop technology enablers to evolve the mid-to long-term commercial radio products
  • Prioritize and evaluate new radio technologies commercially
  • Evaluate the feasibility of practical deployment of the technology enablers in high-volume products
  • Work closely with global customers to understand their evolving needs and ensure our solutions align with their requirements
  • Engage with suppliers to assess how their latest hardware and software innovations can enhance our product offerings
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify the best tools and strategies for advancing our product portfolio
  • Define and communicate a shared vision for product evolution, leveraging strong influencing and leadership skills

You have:

  • M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree in radio technology / mobile radio networks
  • Solid and wide technical knowledge of radio products and the mobile industry
  • Experience in identifying and mapping technology enablers into successful commercial products
  • Curiosity and capability to learn new technologies and technical areas
  • Ability to build personal networks with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage presentations and communication with people from different levels of technical expertise

If you see that you’re a match for this position, please apply via the application system. We’d be happy to receive your application.
Please note that the location of this role is Espoo, Finland or Wrocław, Poland. Alternative Nokia locations may also be considered.
