Description Now Hiring – Radiographer Location: southwest, FL - various locations Status: PRN Schedule: Monday - Friday with flexible hours Radiology Regional is one of the largest physician-driven diagnostic imaging providers, with 13 imaging centers, in Southwest Florida. We are seeking a basic machine operator with a passion to care for others in the communities we serve. For over 50 years we have earned trust and confidence because of their patient care experience. Essential Duties for a Radiographer: Receives and follows directives and instructions from radiologists, diagnostic imaging center manager, and technical director to properly perform the position’s functions. Calculates and selects proper technical factors such as voltage, current, exposure time, focal distance, etc., based on information such as patient age, physical condition, and suspected pathology. Schedules patient examinations according to physician’s orders as directed. Explain proper preparation to patients prior to procedure. Develops mammography films and related dark room duties, in addition to understanding the CR system and equipment. Required: Current ARRT and State of Florida license. Required: CPR Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Experience Required: None Preferred: Radiography experience in an outpatient setting
Responsibilities
The Radiographer receives and follows instructions from radiologists and management to perform imaging functions, calculating and selecting appropriate technical factors based on patient condition and pathology.
