Company Description:   New York Sports & Joints Orthopaedic Specialists is a private practice based in New York that was founded in 2010.  We specialize in Orthopedic Surgery for all body parts except for Spine and have multiple locations across New York City and Long Island.  About the Role: As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare team by providing high-quality imaging services that assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Your expertise in radiography and medical imaging will ensure that accurate images are captured while prioritizing patient safety and comfort. You will be responsible for operating X-ray equipment in our clinic 110 Duane Street, New York, NY 10007. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Patient Care team to make sure images are easily accessible for Physicians.   Minimum Qualifications: * Current certification and licensure as a Radiologic Technologist. Responsibilities: * Perform diagnostic imaging of X-Ray while adhering to safety protocols. * Prepare and position patients for imaging examinations, ensuring their comfort and understanding of the procedure. * Maintain and operate imaging equipment, conducting routine quality control checks to ensure optimal performance. * Collaborate with physicians to discuss imaging results and assist in the development of patient treatment plans. * Document patient information and imaging results accurately in electronic health records. * Produce quality radiographs by following established standards and procedures; observe radiographic results and make necessary adjustments. Skills: The required skills in radiography and medical imaging are essential for performing accurate and safe imaging procedures on patients. Proficiency in operating various imaging equipment, such as X-ray and CT machines, allows you to capture high-quality images that are critical for diagnosis. Quality patient care skills are vital as you will be interacting with patients, ensuring their comfort, and addressing any concerns they may have during the imaging process. Additionally, strong communication skills will facilitate effective collaboration with healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results and contribute to patient care decisions. Preferred skills in specialized imaging modalities will enhance your versatility and ability to provide comprehensive imaging services.
