Description Summary The DEXA Technologist - Radiologic Technologist - performs bone density and radiology diagnostic tests safely and effectively as ordered by the physician. Responsibilities Performs bone density and radiology procedures in a manner to comply with state and federal regulations Assists in maintaining appropriate equipment and supplies in the department Maintains documentation of patient testing information Completes other comparable duties and assignments as directed by the Radiology Manager Assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment Requirements Job Requirements Associate’s degree in radiologic technology from an accredited school or two (2) years of experience in a directly related area Valid state Radiologic Technologist license Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Previous Bone Density experience preferred. CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification Effective written and verbal communication. Knowledgeable in computer systems (e.g. PACS), MS Word, Excel and others. Able to lift and assist patients as needed for proper positioning.
