Schedule: FT / Day (40 hour / Work Schedule: Mon-Fri: 9a.m. to 5:30p.m.) Location: 2100 OCOEE APOPKA ROAD, Apopka, 32703 The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Apopka AdventHealth Apopka is a seven-story, 120-bed hospital offering an extensive range of services including expanded surgical services, advanced surgical suites and a catheterization lab The hospital also features a 30,000-square-foot emergency department with pediatric-friendly beds, imaging services, a full-service cafeteria, chapel, gift shop and on-site fire station The hospital opened in December 2017, replacing the 50-bed hospital that AdventHealth had operated in downtown Apopka for more than four decades Job Summary: Performs Radiographic imaging procedures. Positions, moves, and assists patients. Performs clerical duties. Performs basic patient care within scope of practice and to departmental standards. Responsibility to adhere to the Hospital Corporate compliance plan, to the rules and regulations of all local, state, and Federal agencies, and to the standards of all accrediting bodies. You Will Be Responsible For: Performs all duties and responsibilities of the Radiology Technologist Performs all exams using established protocols. Uses facility policy for proper identification of patient prior to performing exam. Educates patient concerning exam. Properly screens patients for any contrast allergies Performs all types of imaging procedures and operates all equipment safely and properly including scanners, injectors, monitors, and medical equipment. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills to perform scans on patients of all ages, adapting protocols as necessary Properly screens patients of childbearing age and operates all imaging equipment in a safe manner minimizing radiation exposure to patients, families, and co-workers. Practices infection control standards and utilizes approved personal protective equipment (PPE) and disinfectant agents. Maintains properly stocked, organized and clean room Completes required documentation for Radiologist support Positions patient and equipment and selects technical factors to produce radiographic images meeting Radiologist's standards, in a safe, timely manner Performs clerical duties, including answering telephones, completing patient record, filing and scheduling Performs direct patient care duties, within technologist's scope of practice. Utilizes proper infection control techniques Performs basic patient care, including monitoring of patient condition, caring for patient comfort, safety and privacy. Obtains and documents patient history and explains procedures Performs Radiology duties in all departments and environments, including OR and Fluoroscopy What Will You Need: Education and Experience Required: Graduate of accredited Radiologic Sciences program Associate's degree or equivalent in a related field 1-year of relevant experience LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Basic Life Support - CPR Cert LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION: REQUIRED: ARRT ( R ) General Radiographer state license as required by state if applicable CPR Basic Life Support (BLS) PREFERRED: ARRT (VI)
