Job Summary Work Schedule: Per Diem - minimum 48 hours in a 6 week schedule; on call/holiday rotation The Radiologic Technologist performs radiographic procedures, producing images for the interpretation by, or at the Request of a licensed independent practitioner. Radiographers demonstrate an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology. Radiographers must maintain a high degree of accuracy in radiographic positioning and exposure technique. They maintain knowledge of radiation protection and safety. Radiographers prepare, administer and document activities related to contrast media and medications in accordance with state and federal regulations and institutional policy. Radiographers remain sensitive to the physical, cultural and emotional needs of the patient through excellent communication, patient assessment, patient monitoring and patient care skills. #PHX Qualifications Education Requirements Post High School Diploma Program Experience Relevant Experience Certification and Licensure BLS Certification RT (R) ARRT or Certification eligible technologists hired upon graduation pass examination prior to start date Overview Tower Health, a regional healthcare system, serves communities across multiple counties in Pennsylvania.
