We are seeking detail-oriented and technically skilled Medical Imaging Technologists specializing in General Radiography and Computed Tomography (CT) to support diagnostic services at a local Surreyl Hospital.
Facility Location: Surrey, BC
Position Details: This is a full-time position (37–40 hours per week), with both contract and permanent availability through December 2025. Day, evening, and night shifts available.
Compensation: $53.70–$57.50 per hour, plus time and a half and overtime at 2x. Health benefits and employer pension match are available for eligible team members.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures using both general radiography (X-ray) and CT equipment
  • Conduct portable and trauma X-rays as required in the emergency department, operating room, and intensive care unit
  • Administer and document patient histories and explain imaging procedures clearly to patients
  • Position patients safely and appropriately to obtain optimal diagnostic outcomes while minimizing radiation exposure
  • Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions during CT procedures
  • Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to deliver timely and accurate diagnostic results
  • Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment and comply with departmental safety and infection control standards
  • Accurately document procedures using Fraser Health PACS/RIS and associated EMR systems

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) and the BC College of Radiographers (or eligibility to register)
  • Certified and experienced in general radiography; CT certification required for CT-specific duties
  • IV certification and experience with contrast injection (preferred)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a hospital or acute care imaging setting (preferred)
  • Experience with trauma, emergency, or mobile radiography is a strong asset
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work independently and within a fast-paced multidisciplinary team
