A member of Catholic Health Services of Long Island, St. Francis is consistently recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a national leader for Cardiology & Heart Surgery, as well as for Gastroenterology & GI Surgery Job Details Responsibilities: • Determine appropriateness of examinations and contact physicians to clarify or modify orders when necessary • Transfer patients on/off exam tables • Transport patients through the ER to the CT Scanner and/or radiology department • Answer telephones in a timely manner • Communicates with professionalism at all times • For outpatients, check prescriptions to ensure patient demographics are correct, physician signature present, and reason for exam listed • For inpatients, check requisitions for accuracy, including verify patient identification, physician's signature, and diagnosis. • Arrange transport • Assist in procedure rooms • Update technologists with appointment status (cancellations, changes, etc). Requirements: • Current Radiology students preferred • High school diploma or equivalent • Excellent communication skills; computer skills also required • Prior hospital experience preferred Salary Range USD $20.26 - USD $28.00 /Hr. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits. Responsibilities

The Radiology Assistant is responsible for transporting patients to imaging areas and verifying the accuracy of physician orders and patient demographics. They also provide administrative support by answering phones and assisting technologists in procedure rooms.
