Job Details Job Location: Rice Community Hospital - Lyons, KS 67554 Position Type: Seasonal Job Category: Entry Level Position Summary The Radiology Clerk (PRN) provides administrative and customer service support for the Radiology Department on an as-needed basis. This position is responsible for answering phones, scheduling and confirming radiology appointments, managing imaging records, and supporting daily front office operations. The role assists in maintaining efficient patient flow and serves as a point of contact for patients, providers, technologists, and external facilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Patient Scheduling & Communication Answer incoming calls for the Radiology Department in a professional and courteous manner Schedule, reschedule, and cancel radiology appointments in accordance with department guidelines Confirm appointments and provide patients with preparation instructions as applicable Communicate appointment details, delays, or changes to patients and radiology staff Imaging & PACS Support Upload, receive, and route imaging studies to the PACS system accurately and timely Ensure images are properly labeled and associated with correct patient records Send and receive imaging records to and from outside facilities as requested Administrative & Front Office Support Perform clerical tasks including scanning, faxing, and document management Support radiology staff to ensure smooth front office operations Compliance & Confidentiality Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and hospital policies Qualifications Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Prior healthcare front office or scheduling experience preferred Radiology or imaging department experience is a plus but not required Work Schedule PRN, approximately 16 hours per week Hours may vary based on departmental needs Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the workday Ability to use standard office equipment Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally Other Duties Perform other duties as assigned to support Radiology Department operations
