We’re looking for a Radiology Department Assistant to join our Imaging outpatient department at The Harley Street Campus, currently rated “Outstanding” by the CQC.

As a Radiology Department Assistant at The Harley Street Campus Outpatient Centres, you’ll provide a high level of customer-focussed care to our patients and service users through high quality support to our Radiographers & Consultants.

Responsibilities

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Organise ultrasound workload including charging patients, chaperoning patients when required and dealing with all necessary paperwork.
  • To assist the radiographers in preparing patients for all imaging procedures as necessary.
  • To assist with moving patients within the department as necessary.
  • To assist with setting up for procedures as required.
  • To assist in maintaining the tidiness and cleanliness of the department.
  • To help with the maintenance of stock levels in all rooms e.g. linen etc and consumables etc.
  • To collect and escort in-patients to and from the department.
  • Organise refreshments for patients when required.
  • To assist the radiographers and other staff in the department as required.
  • To rotate between departments/ areas/modalities as required.
  • Respond appropriately to accidents or untoward incidents/occurrences that arise within the unit and provide accurate documentation.
  • To be conversant with all local policies and procedures and to act accordingly.
  • Ensure the safety of patients and staff and ensure that all incidents are reported to the manager.
  • Ensure that all equipment is used safely and effectively. Experience of working with members of the public is essential.
