The Radiology Resident is responsible for facilitation of radiology services for the Chiropractic Clinics and supervision of clinic students. The position is a three-year minimum in-house training program leading to board examination eligibility. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS Responsible to the assigned administrator and has a support responsibility to all other departments and college personnel as necessary. Responsible for the supervision of students as required. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for conducting radiology examinations as needed Provide image interpretation, including reporting Offer image consultations to clinicians Maintain and monitor patient records Supervise and educate students and externs Attend departmental, main clinic, and residency meetings Support the missions of the department, clinic, and College Acquire knowledge through residency sessions, seminars, outside readings, and certifications Share acquired knowledge with students, faculty, and staff Serve as a role model for students, faculty, and staff Oversee intern education Manage classroom activities as assigned Perform all responsibilities in compliance with Palmer’s Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action policy Carry out other duties as assigned Qualifications KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Ability to perform assigned duties with time pressures and frequent interruptions. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to travel to outside events. Ability to work various hours as job requires. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Doctor of Chiropractic Degree required. Completion of National Boards Parts I, II, III with eligibility to sit Part IV. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT Performs sedentary to light work in a ventilated, lighted, and temperature controlled office setting. Frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, sit, lift light objects (up to 50-100 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the workday.
