The role you’ll contribute: The Radiology Technologist under the direction of the Office manager/Clinical Supervisor performs radiologic procedures as ordered by the physician. Assists the physician during casting, treatment and examination of the patient. The value you’ll bring to the team: Prepares patients for radiology procedures. Takes x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety. Uses a gonadal shielding, when possible, for all patients of childbearing age and all pediatric patients. Develops and processes radiology film. Maintains x-ray film files in a neat and orderly fashion. Ensures that reports and/or films are available for the physician in a timely manner. Logs radiology procedures completed. Processes routine paperwork. Types and files report as requested. Maintains darkroom and x-ray room in a clean and orderly manner. Stocks necessary medical and radiology supplies. Orders x-ray supplies on a routine basis. Rotates film stock. Verifies correct charges on charge slip for x-rays, treatments and procedures The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: Minimum qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of a recognized Radiology Technology program FL CRT license ARRT license BLS/CPR certification Preferred qualifications: 1 year of medical office experience preferred
