Job Title: Radiology Tech Unit: Medical Imaging Shift: PRN-Variable Facility: Miami Valley North General Summary/Responsibilities: Independently performs diagnostic radiographic procedures utilizing proper techniques and administration of contrast media. Works under their scope of practice and in accordance with certificate/licensure in the administration of medications, operation of equipment, and venipuncture. Coordinates patient flow and the activities of the Radiology Department. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of duties in order to maintain equipment in good working condition. May perform procedures in other imaging modalities based on departmental needs. May have on call responsibilities. Education Minimum Level of Education Required: Associate degree Additional requirements: ▪ Type of degree: Allied Health ▪ Area of study or major: Radiologic Technology ▪ Preferred educational qualifications: N/A ▪ Position specific testing requirement: N/A Licensure/Certification/Registration ▪ CPR Certification required within 30 days of hire ▪ ARRT RT (R) registry required ▪ ODH licensure required Experience Minimum Level of Experience Required: No prior job-related work experience Prior job title or occupational experience: N/A Prior specific functional responsibilities: N/A Preferred experience: One year experience Other experience requirements: N/A Knowledge/Skills ▪ Human anatomy ▪ Proficient in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) ▪ Proficient in Radiology Information System (RIS) and Image Storage ▪ Radiation safety 3 Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
