Description
St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a Full Time Special Procedures (Radiology) Tech.  The Special Procedures Tech's primary purpose is to provide quality patient care and quality radiographic procedures for patients needing vascular or interventional Radiology exams.  In addition be available for emergency call procedures. Qualifications EDUCATION: Bachelor degree preferred. Graduate of an approved JRCERT program for Radiologic Technology. Holder of a valid and current: 1. Registration by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or be registry eligible, and; 2. Licensed as required by the West Virginia State “Board” of Radiology 3. Advanced level of certification in Cardiovascular and/or Interventional Radiology desired. EXPERIENCE: Previous work experience as Staff Radiologic Technologist and work experience as an Interventional/Cardiovascular Technologist desired.   SKILLS: Uses a variety of stationary and mobile diagnostic radiation producing and imaging equipment and accessories, radiation protection and shielding materials and devices.  Uses automatic film processing units.  Ability to establish contact with patients who may be under physical and emotional stress.  Compassionate, good listener, professional, able to follow instructions.  BLS required.
