How you make a difference:
Under supervision, the Radiology Technician is responsible for explaining procedures to patients, positioning patients and equipment, performing examinations, developing film, and maintaining and operating specialized radiologic equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare examination rooms and position patients and equipment to administer radiopharmaceuticals and obtain clear, usable diagnostic images.
  • Monitor patients during examinations to ensure their safety and prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation.
  • Insert commands and data into the computer to document and specify scan sequences and adjust density or contrast as necessary.
  • Report important information to the Physician, update patients’ records, and perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and offering pre-procedure advice.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on radiographic equipment and perform other duties as assigned to ensure efficient daily procedure schedules for emergencies and adequate monitoring of radiographic supplies.

Additional Details: Must be certified as a Rad Tech
Qualifications & Requirements:

Education

  • Graduation from an accredited Radiology Technology Program

Experience

  • Minimum of one year clinical experience preferred

Licenses/Certifications

  • Must have and maintain current certification within the state.
  • Must also obtain and maintain CPR certification.
