Responsibilities The Radiologic Technologist plays a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality care services by performing diagnostic imaging procedures in a fast-paced, ambulatory care environment. This position assists providers and clinical staff in delivering exceptional patient care, ensuring all imaging and radiologic procedures meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Perform diagnostic x-ray exams as ordered by providers using proper exposure techniques (MA, KV, time, and distance). Explain imaging procedures clearly to patients and families to ensure comfort and understanding. Apply radiation protection practices in accordance with regulatory and safety standards. Maintain sterile technique and prevent cross-contamination. Conduct regular quality control checks on radiologic and darkroom equipment to ensure optimal image quality. Complete and maintain appropriate imaging records and referral logs. Ensure all x-ray films and images are stored, tracked, and reviewed in a timely manner. Qualifications Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology. Successfully pass ARRT certification within twelve (12) months of employment. Current Iowa permit to practice radiologic technology. Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred Familiarity with EPIC a plus!
