Responsibilities
  • Performs and produces high-quality exams on patients of all ages including portable and C-Arm procedures in the OR.
  • Accurately positions body parts, uses appropriate exposures, and collimation.
  • Utilizes Meditech to complete all necessary paperwork, edits exams as necessary.
  • Reviews images in PACS to and follows procedures to prepare a study for interpretation.
  • Practices radiation safety measures for patients, staff and self.
  • Assists radiologist with exams and with administration of contrast agents to patients of all ages, following department protocol.
  • Performs related radiology services functions in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Cleans equipment after every patient.
  • Stays motivated to keep patients cared for in a timely manner.
  • All work areas are kept stocked and organized.
  • Maintains appropriate documentation for regulatory standards and the medical record while safeguarding patient confidentiality.
  • Helps to supervise Radiologic Technology students.
  • Provide clinical advice to Radiology clerical staff as needed.
  • Performs related duties, assists others as needed for the smooth operation of the department.
  • Assists with cloud PACS medical imaging sharing and assists with burning and uploading CD’s
