Responsibilities Southglen Urgent Care is seeking a versatile Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) with lab experience to join our Urgent Care team. The ideal candidate will perform X-ray imaging and assist with lab-related duties, including point-of-care testing (POCT) and specimen collection. We are looking for someone with strong clinical skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced urgent care environment. Key Responsibilities: Perform digital X-ray imaging as ordered by healthcare providers, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. Operate and maintain radiologic equipment, adhering to safety protocols and radiation protection standards. Assist in the urgent care lab by performing point-of-care tests (POCT) such as rapid flu, strep, urinalysis, and glucose tests. Collect and prepare lab specimens (blood, urine, etc.) for analysis or transport to reference labs. Accurately document patient information, test results, and images in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Explain procedures to patients and provide reassurance during X-ray and lab tests. Maintain cleanliness, order, and inventory of both radiology and laboratory areas. Ensure compliance with clinic protocols, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines. Collaborate with urgent care providers, nurses, and administrative staff to deliver exceptional patient care. Assist with basic clinical tasks as needed, such as rooming patients or taking vital signs. Qualifications Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology with ARRT current registration. Must have a current Iowa permit to practice. High school diploma. BLS / Mandatory Reporter.
