Overview Shift: Part-time, 16 hours per pay period. The Radiology Technologist Student must be enrolled in an accredited Radiology Technologist program. The Radiology Technologist Student performs clerical, technical and patient related functions within the scope of practice. The Radiology Technologist Student will be trained to use a wide variety of equipment, computers, and software. Responsibilities Clinical Excellence/Patient Care: Performs quality control (QC) procedures in compliance with manufacturer and regulatory requirements independently, ensuring proper functioning of equipment and image quality. Troubleshoots equipment issues and errors and reports safety concerns and malfunctions promptly. Cleans departmental equipment and verifies all safety/health regulations and policies are met. Answers and triages phone calls and schedules exams as needed. Communicates calmly, compassionately and professionally with patients. Transports patients. Department Support: Promotes the development, preparation, implementation and attainment of departmental goals, policies and projects. Maintains an adequate level of productivity. Communicates with departmental management team as necessary when problems or unusual circumstances arise and documents as necessary. Communicates effectively inter- and intra-departmentally with other healthcare professionals and customers to provide accurate, timely information and to reduce problems and minimize exceptions. Maintains cleanliness of equipment and workspace and reports equipment malfunctions in a timely manner. Qualifications Education: Enrolled in an accredited Radiologic Technology program and remains in good standing.
