Responsibilities Our busy Urgent Care Clinic in Altoona, IA is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiologic Technologist to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, flexible, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This role involves performing diagnostic imaging exams while also assisting with general clinical tasks to support overall patient care. Key Responsibilities: Perform high-quality diagnostic X-rays in accordance with provider orders and safety protocols Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures with attention to comfort and safety Maintain accurate records and documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) system Ensure proper function, cleanliness, and safety of radiology equipment Support urgent care clinical team with additional duties such as: Taking vital signs Rooming patients Assisting with procedures or specimen collection as needed Follow all HIPAA, OSHA, and radiation safety guidelines Maintain radiologic technologist licensure and certifications Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and team members to ensure seamless care Qualifications Current ARRT certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) (required) Iowa Permit to Practice Radiography (required) Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required) Prior experience in urgent care, outpatient, or emergency setting preferred Strong patient service and communication skills Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment Willingness to assist in general clinical and administrative tasks when not performing X-rays
