We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Radiologic Technologist to join our team. In this role you will provide the following elements of patient care. Clinical Imaging: Accurately perform diagnostic exams of patient as requested by provider using proper imaging techniques. Provide proper education of procedure to patients, their family, and others as needed. Employ proper radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards. Practice sterile techniques and prevent cross-contamination to patients. Perform quality control activities on imaging equipment to ensure optimum image quality. Verify that an annual and successful inspection is performed by a Radiation Physicist. Lab & Rooming: Perform phlebotomy duties and process/package specimens according to protocols. Collect and prepare specimens for point of care testing. Record and document laboratory results for each performed test. Retain records for the required length of time in a secure location. Clean and sterilize laboratory equipment and work area according to policy and procedure. Perform quality controls within laboratory using standard laboratory test and measurement controls. Provide professional clinical services for patients following established practice standards and clinical protocols.Room patients and obtain vital signs.Assist provider with patient examination, treatment and minor surgical procedures. Qualifications Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology. Must have a current Iowa permit to practice. Current ARRT registration and must maintain ARRT registration. High school diploma. BLS and Mandatory Reporter certification.
Responsibilities
The Radiologic Technologist will perform diagnostic imaging exams and ensure patient safety through proper techniques and radiation protection. Additionally, they will assist with laboratory duties and provide professional clinical services to patients.
