Description Position Type: Part-Time, Seasonal, Non-Exempt (Hourly) Supervisor: Rafting Senior Manager Location: Moab, UT Schedule: Variable; weekends, nights, and holiday work as required, approx. 20 hours a week Compensation: $20+ per hour, depending on experience (DOE) Join Our Team The National Ability Center is looking for a Shuttle Driver & Logistics Support staff member who understands that strong operations make meaningful experiences possible. In this role, you will safely transport participants, staff, and equipment, support trip logistics, and help ensure our adaptive rafting programs run efficiently and safely throughout the season to deliver unforgettable canyon experiences in southern Utah. As one of the largest non-profit outdoor therapeutic recreational programs in the world, our team is dedicated to the national movement of building an Adaptive Nation. This hands-on role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced outdoor environment, values teamwork, and takes pride in keeping people and equipment safe, organized, and on schedule. Job Summary: Based in Moab, Utah, this position supports raft trips by driving participants in 12-passenger buses and assisting with logistical support. Logistics support includes packing food, completing basic vehicle checks, and other similar tasks. This is a part-time, seasonal position from May 8th through mid-October 2026 with approximately 20 hours per week. Essential Duties: Transports participants, guides, and equipment in 12-passenger accessible buses and trucks. Conducts weekly vehicle inspections and maintenance, including but not limited to fluid checks, tire pressure checks, and air filter cleaning. Reports needed repairs to the Operations Manager and assists with minor repairs and/or transports vehicles to mechanics in Moab. Helps keep vehicles clean and presentable. Assists guides with gear at river put-ins and take-outs. Communicates trip information to participants while assisting at river put-ins and take-outs. Assists with loading and packing personal gear of the participants. Adapts equipment to enable participants with disabilities to be able to fully participate. Maintains a high level of professionalism in working with guests and co-workers. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Must be able to start May 8, 2026 and work until mid-October 2026. Current driver’s license and clean driving record. Be able to pass a background check. Must be able to maintain a Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) physical. Experience driving a vehicle with a trailer. Preferred Qualifications: Experience and understanding of basic-level vehicle checks and maintenance. Experience transporting guests in large-capacity vehicles. Experience working with people with disabilities. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Exceptional communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
