We are currently looking for a: Raging Waters Sydney - Bar Attendant About the role: Bar Attendants are responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and preparing beverages in our Luigi’s Pizza bar and any other Food & Beverage outlets. They are expected to create positive first impressions, engage warmly with guests, and respond promptly and professionally to all customer requests and concerns. Roles & Responsibilities: Roles & Responsibilities Provide exceptional quality guest service, with a focus on smiling, friendly service, minimising wait time and queue time. Work effectively within a team environment to provide excellent guest service and promote a positive working environment. Required to complete any start of day and end of day duties as instructed. Ensure all areas are always kept clean and left clean and tidy at the end of the day. Ensure that all equipment needed for operations is available. Assist with cleanliness within the food & beverage areas including sweeping, rubbish pick-up, clearing and cleaning tables, emptying rubbish bins and cleaning work areas. Adhering to Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) requirements. Assist in other areas associated as required. To carry out all duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Food & Beverage Team Leaders, Food & Beverage Coordinator, Commercial Director, or any member of the Management Team. Counter Operator: Ensure that the Payment Card Industry (PCI) requirements are followed and checked before starting a shift and the PCI form is signed off before using each register. Operate the point of sale (POS) register. Maintain a clean and organised area, ensuring suppliers are stocks and equipment is functioning. The ability to upsell and value add to every order to maximise revenue opportunity. Bar Attendant: RSA is mandatory Uphold RSA standards and ensure all RSA standards are enforced. Operate the point of sale (POS) register. Maintain a clean and organised bar area, ensuring supplies are well stocked. Monitor the sitting areas, ensuring they are clean and tidy, and guests are over 18 years or always accompanied by an 18-year-old. Assist with food service areas as directed. Food & Beverage Operations Responsibilities: Ensure sufficient stock levels to support efficient service. Assist with order preparation and delivery using the correct numbering system. Prepare and present all food orders accurately and to required standards. Follow correct procedures for equipment use, food handling, hygiene, and safety. Maintain clean, organised service stations and work areas throughout service. Ensure all equipment and stock are available, cleaned thoroughly after use, and safely turned off. Follow food labelling and storage standards. Leave all areas clean and ready at the end of each shift. Workplace Health & Safety (WHS): Follow and comply with Work Health Safety policies, procedures, and guidelines. Correctly use all safety and personal protective equipment. Act as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviours. Report WHS incidents, injuries and safety activities to your direct Manager and First Aid at the time it occurs. Promote proactive hazard/ near miss reporting. Report any hazards or near-miss incidents to your direct Manager and the People & Culture Director. Attend Work Group Meetings to discuss and promote safety. Requirements Education: Essential RSA Desirable Food Handling certification Barista qualifications Languages: Fluent English Skills: Customer service skills Be able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously. Knowledge of Food Safety requirements. Ability to interact in a professional and positive manner. Experience: Knowledge of point-of-sale systems. Relationships Internal: General Manager / Facilities / Finance / Food & Beverage / Guest Experience/ Operations / People & Culture / Retail / Sales & Marketing External: Guests/ Contractors / Suppliers / Business Partners Organization Any other relevant comments: Ability to work flexible working hours including but not limited to weekends, evenings, and public holidays. Must be available to work a minimum of twice per week during the peak season. Adhere to the Company Code of Conduct policy. Represent the Company well internally and externally; convey a professional and positive image of the organization and business affiliates. Be able to work in all weather conditions including sun and rain, hot and cold climates, indoor and outdoor work. To carry out all duties and responsibilities as assigned by your Direct Manager, General Manager, or any member of the Management Team. Adhere to the Employee Handbook content and requirements. Smoking in the workplace is allowed in designated smoking areas only permitted by the applicable legislation of the jurisdiction. You are required to be physically fit, physical requirements include but are not limited to: Walking Carrying Lifting Reaching Bending Pushing Pulling Squatting Sitting Standing Twisting Repetitious movement Team member benefits: The hourly rates are in accordance with the Amusement, Events and Recreation Award. Bar Attendant aged 20 years or older are paid at a Grade 2 hourly rate of $25.85 per hour plus 25% casual loading ($32.31 per hour includes casual loading). Different rates apply for applicants 19 years of age and under. Penalty rates apply for Sundays and Public Holidays.
