Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, we are seeking experienced Rail Traction Linesman to join our Overhead Wiring team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of major rail infrastructure projects across various sates supporting the construction, maintenance and renewal of 25kV AC and 1500V DC overhead wiring systems. About the Role As a Rail Traction Linesman, you will play a key role in the delivery of overhead wiring and traction power works across a diverse portfolio of rail projects. Working alongside experienced supervisors, engineers and construction teams, you will safely install, maintain and renew rail overhead wiring infrastructure while ensuring compliance with rail, safety, environmental and quality requirements. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong safety focus, the ability to work at heights, travel to project locations as required, and work shifts, weekends and possessions when needed. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain and repair overhead wiring and traction power systems. Complete wire runs, tensioning, registration adjustments and conductor renewals. Construct and install trackside poles, structures and associated equipment. Work safely at heights using EWPs, hi-rail plant and rail construction equipment. Read and interpret construction drawings, work instructions and engineering documentation. Participate in pre-start meetings, hazard identification, JSAs and risk assessments. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with rail safety, electrical safety, environmental and quality requirements. Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, protection staff and project teams to deliver works safely and on schedule. Support emergency, planned and project-based works across multiple locations. Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment. About You To be successful, you will bring: Trade qualification as a Rail Traction Linesman. Demonstrated experience working on both 25kV AC and 1500V DC overhead traction systems. Current RIW Card. White Card. Current driver's licence. Relevant tickets and licences, including EWP, First Aid, Dogman and/or Rigger qualifications. Experience working in rail or other safety-critical environments. Strong understanding of rail safety and WHS requirements. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Commitment to safety, teamwork and delivering quality outcomes.
