Description

QUALIFICATIONS

Ø Professional Experience: 5+ years of rail logistics or transportation experience, preferably in a supply chain environment.
Ø Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (logistics certifications an asset).
Ø Technology Requirements: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems (e.g., JDE) and data analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
Ø Beneficial Experience: Knowledge of bulk material logistics is a strong asset.
Ø Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel up to 20%.
Ø Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ø Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

Ø Coordinate daily railcar movements, ensuring optimal routing, tracking, and exception management.
Ø Maintain strong working relationships with rail carriers, lessors, and service providers.
Ø Develop monthly forecasts and key performance reports; analyze trends and recommend improvements.
Ø Support carrier performance reviews and negotiate service improvements.
Ø Assist in securing rail rates and supporting contract administration.
Ø Drive continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives within rail operations.
Ø Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, supply chain, operations, and terminals.
Ø Administer and improve rail-related technology tools (e.g., billing, yard management, tracking).
Ø Support network optimization projects and provide internal consultation on rail logistics.
Ø Participate in budget preparation and ongoing cost performance analysis.
