Avilion Metalcraft is a small, locally owned business specializing in the fabrication and installation of high-end stainless steel, aluminum, and glass railing systems. We’re looking for a Skilled Installer / Shop Helper to join our hardworking, collaborative team. The right candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and experienced with tools and general construction practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Hands-on experience with construction, welding, carpentry, or mechanical trades
• Proficient with hand and power tools
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
• Capable of lifting and handling materials over 60 lbs (e.g., glass panels and railings)
• Problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license (required)
• Preference given to applicants with experience in welding, shop work, carpentry, or mechanical repair

  Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
  Expected hours: 9 per week

Work Location: In perso

• Install railing systems, stair stringers, handrails, and overhead glass canopies (working at heights required)
• Read and interpret schematics or drawings to accurately complete installation tasks
• Perform shop duties: cutting parts, tack welding, prepping, grinding, and sanding
• Build and weld components for projects as required
• Ensure all installations are plumb, level, and meet safety and quality standards
• Assist with general labour and vehicle maintenance
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site or shop space
• Collaborate with team members and troubleshoot installation challenges as they arise
