DESCRIPTION

  • Conduct safety analyses (e.g., hazard identification, risk assessment, FMEA, FTA) to ensure system safety and compliance with railway safety standards.
  • Prepare and review Safety Cases and associated documentation in accordance with EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129, and related standards.
  • Support safety assurance activities during design, integration, testing, and operation phases.
  • Liaise with engineering teams, project managers, and external stakeholders (e.g., certification bodies, regulatory authorities).
  • Monitor and verify compliance with safety requirements and contractual obligations.
  • Contribute to incident investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Provide technical input for continuous improvement of safety processes and procedures.
  • Reporting to Customer internal team

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Control Systems, or equivalent).
  • >2 year of experience in Rail Engineering
  • Proven experience with Rail sub-systems, in specific TCMS, Signaling and other on-board electric / electronic devices
  • Proven experience in safety engineering within the railway sector (rolling stock, signalling, or infrastructure).
  • Knowledge of CENELEC standards (EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129) and applicable EU/International railway safety regulations. (i.e. CSM application / REG 402)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and manage interfaces with various stakeholders.
  • Your communication skills are:
  • Fluent in English
  • Fluent in German: B2 certification is required and spoken capability assessed or more
