REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must hold a full manual UK Driving License.
  • Able to work in a manual environment and repeatedly lift up to 32kg throughout a shift.
  • Be prepared and able to work rotating shift patterns (including early and late shifts) over a 7-day working week.
  • Full Flexibility to work various shifts between 04:30 & 23:30 (Mon-Sun)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good standard of numeracy and literacy. Able to communicate fluently in English, both written and oral.
  • Excellent understanding, knowledge and awareness of procedures.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Ramp Agents are responsible for loading and unloading aircraft baggage, operating baggage carts and performing other aircraft servicing duties. Ramp Agents have fast-paced careers and should be comfortable working in any weather, including rain, snow and heat.
You should also be able to lift heavy items up to 32kg, have strong communication skills and be able to work both independently and with a team to complete tasks.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Transportation of passenger baggage and cargo between terminal buildings and aircraft. Sorting baggage, loading and unloading cargo and baggage from aircraft. Working in a manual environment involving heavy lifting. Driving lorries and other vehicles and working allied mechanical equipment such as electrically propelled tugs, baggage belts, etc.
  • Representing and portraying the company in a professional manner whilst providing positive communication. To carry out daily operator checks and operate all vehicles and ramp equipment used during turnaround, according to current standards and procedures, so as to minimise the risk of injury to self and others and damage to customer aircraft.
  • To understand and execute new working practices deemed necessary by the company, including designated training courses.
  • To work efficiently and effectively as part of a team.
  • To maintain high levels of Health and Safety standards.
  • To achieve the targets and job standards set out by Ramp Head Loaders & Team Leaders.
  • To be communicative between effectively between fellow Ramp Agents, Head Loaders & Team Leaders and provide information relevant to the operation on request.
  • To be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work.
