Hickman Automotive Group is looking for a Ramper Technician to join our team at our Hickman Chevrolet Cadillac location in St. John’s.
The Ramper Technician is responsible for performing basic maintenance on vehicles such as tire rotations, oil changes, and visual inspections. If you are an energetic and motivated individual who has a positive attitude, a dedication to providing exceptional customer service, and a desire to succeed, we would love to have you!

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of approved and established procedures for conducting service and repairs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills – pleasant, positive, and friendly personality.
  • Ability to maintain communication with Service Consultants.
  • Able to communicate effectively with customers.
  • Willingness and ability to maintain current product and technical knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Ability to work efficiently under minimum supervision.
  • Ability to handle a variety of tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Identify defects in the vehicle during inspections
  • Complete interior, exterior, and under-hood vehicle checks.
  • Perform oil changes and tire rotations.
  • Complete visual inspections of brakes, front and rear end components, and record findings.
  • Install cabin filters, air filters, and selected bulbs as required.
  • Must be able to repair vehicles effectively and efficiently, clocking on and off the repairs, and staying with a planned schedule for the day or adapting to changes as needed.
  • Requires the understanding of which tools will be required for a given repair or service and ensures their availability.
  • Must be able to document with consistent accuracy the inspections conducted.
