Description Pay rate will be $15.00 per hour Part-Time position working approximately 17.5 hours per week Easterseals Florida is looking for a dependable and hardworking Ranch Hand to join our team at Edgar’s Farm, a therapeutic ranch providing equine-assisted services for individuals with disabilities. In this role, you’ll help care for our horses and maintain the barn, pastures, and surrounding facilities—ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our clients, staff, and volunteers. What You’ll Do Feed, handle, and care for therapy horses and ranch animals, including turnout, stall cleaning, and barn upkeep Operate ranch equipment safely, such as mowers, tractors, golf carts, and power tools Assist with basic animal care, including wound care and administering medications as directed Perform general ranch maintenance: fence repair, mowing, weed eating, pressure washing, blowing, and painting Maintain a professional and respectful presence around participants in our equine-assisted therapy programs Support a safe, clean, and hazard-free environment without disrupting therapy services Follow Easterseals privacy and confidentiality policies Demonstrate teamwork, reliability, and a commitment to learning and professional growth What You Bring High school diploma or equivalent Experience working with horses (1+ year preferred) Experience in ranch work, facilities, or maintenance (preferred) Ability to safely use tractors, zero-turn mowers, golf carts, and power tools Positive and respectful attitude toward individuals with disabilities Flexibility, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed Easterseals Florida has been rated a Great Place to Work (2020 – 2025) by our employees!
