Sun Mountain Lodge is seeking an experienced and passionate Wrangler to join our team. This position offers an opportunity to work in a beautiful and serene natural setting while providing exceptional service to our guests. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in horsemanship, excellent communications skills, and a genuine passion for creating memorable experiences for our guests. Responsibilities: * Lead and supervise horseback trail rides for guests of varying skill levels.  * Ensure the safety and well- being of both guests and horses during all equestrian activities. * Maintain and care for horses, including feeding, grooming, and saddling.  * Conduct regular health checks on horses, promptly reporting any concerns to the appropriate supervisor. * Assisting the training and development of new horses for trail riding purposes.  * Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the barn, equipment, and surrounding areas.  * Provide guidance and instructions to guests on proper horsemanship techniques and safety protocols.  * Foster a positive and welcoming environment for guests, addressing any concerns or questions promptly and professionally.  * Collaborate with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of all equestrian activities and events.  * Uphold and enforce all safety regulations and procedures to guarantee the well-being of guests, staff, and animals.  Requirements:  * Reliable transportation  * High School diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in equine studies ora related field are preferred. * Proven experience in horseback riding and handling a variety of horses, with a strong understanding of equine behavior and care * Ability to lead and guide guests of all ages and skill levels during trail rides and other equestrian activities.  * Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and colleagues. * Physical stamina and strength to handle the demands of working in an outdoor setting and performing various manual tasks. * Demonstrate ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations and effectively manage any unforeseen challenges. * Commitment to upholding high standards of safety and customer service. * Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and irregular hours as needed.  Salary-$18.00 Hourly Insurance: Medical, dental, vision insurance available for full-time employees and their families; Short-term and Long-term Disability Insurance; Supplemental Life Insurance; and Flexible Savings Account Retirement: After 6 months of employment, employees are eligible to enroll for 401k with up to a 5% company match Paid Time Off: Vacation Time - 80 hours on your first 3 years of service; Sick Time – 1 hour accrued per 30 hours worked Paid Holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day
