About the Role:Join Ventia’s Defence Base Services team and play a vital role supporting the Australian Defence Force at live training ranges in Western Australia. As a Range Operator, you’ll work alongside Defence personnel, ensuring the safe and effective operation of training areas and exclusion zones during live fire and other activities.Key Details:• Location: Range Defence Training Facility, WA• Hours: 38 hours per week, with overtime available (rostered Monday–Sunday based on Defence training schedules)• Pay: $33.43 per hour + superannuation + overtimeWhat We Offer:• Comprehensive training and upskilling• Overtime and Rostered Days Off (RDOs) available• Uniform, safety boots, and fire PPE provided• Work vehicle supplied on-site• Opportunity to work closely with Defence military training teamsKey Responsibilities:• Position and monitor Red Flags/Red Lights in line with Range Standing Orders• Prepare ranges and support range users and customers• Undertake land management tasks: grass cutting, tree removal, weed spraying, GIS mapping• Provide first response bushfire support within your qualifications and safety limits• Perform estate upkeep: fence and gate repairs, general maintenance• Manufacture and repair targets as requiredWhat You’ll Need:• Current Driver’s Licence (required)• Respond to Wildfire (desirable)• HR Truck Licence (desirable)• Experience in range operations or land management (desirable) About Ventia Ventia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand.
