What You'll Be Doing | Mō te Tūranga As a Rapid Recovery Vehicle (RRV) Technician, you’ll play a key role in redefining how we support our Members on the roadside. Every day will bring variety as you put your expertise to work helping people get safely back on their way. In this role, you will: Provide expert roadside assistance, diagnosing faults and offering the best solution for our Members. Operate the Rapid Recovery Vehicle to safely tow vehicles that can’t be mobilised at the roadside. Conduct accurate pre‑ and post‑tow inspections and ensure vehicles are secured to best‑practice safety standards. Deliver exceptional customer service, keeping Members informed and reassured throughout their experience. Promote AA products and services where appropriate, ensuring Members receive the full benefit of their AA Membership. Use AA systems, tablets and technology to complete job information, payments, and documentation. This is a Rotorua‑based role where you’ll be out and about, using your technical know‑how to make a real difference for our Members. About You | Mōu You’re a skilled automotive professional who enjoys solving problems on the spot and helping people when they need it most. Your calm, practical approach - paired with strong communication skills - means you deliver outstanding service even in challenging situations. To thrive in this role, you will bring: An approved Automotive Trade qualification and solid experience diagnosing and repairing vehicle faults. A full Class 1 licence (Class 2 and NZTA V endorsement desirable - training can be provided). Confidence in using Microsoft products, mobile devices and in‑vehicle systems. A commitment to quality customer service and the ability to build rapport quickly. Physical fitness and the ability to lift up to 30kg. A clean, safe driving record.
