We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Rapid Responder to join us in our Dublin and Kildare general area. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for those we serve. key role in supporting Manor Homecare Team with providing exceptional quality care to clients of any stage of their life who wish to remain independent in their own home. This role is ideal for individuals seeking flexibility in their work schedules while delivering outstanding care to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, person-centred care to clients by performing general healthcare assistant duties in line with client care plans and business needs.
  • Assist clients with personal care, including dressing, washing, toileting, and mobility support.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support, encouraging independence and well-being.
  • Support with meal preparation, feeding, and household tasks such as light cleaning and laundry.
  • Assist with rehabilitation exercises and moving clients safely using mobility aids.
  • Accurately document care activities and report any changes in client condition.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to emergency on-call situations, ensuring clients’ needs are met with care and respect.
  • Step in to cover shifts for care workers absent due to illness, leave, or other reasons, ensuring seamless client care.
  • Provide care services according to the Home Care Plan, including personal care, assistance with showering, toileting, and medication prompts.
  • Support supervisors with spot checks, PPE distribution, and administrative tasks as needed.
  • Assist Quality Officers in ensuring compliance with all care standards and regulations.
  • Foster a safe, supportive environment for clients, always prioritizing their well-being and dignity.
  • Communicate effectively with Area Managers and the care team regarding client updates, concerns, or changes.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support (or relevant modules) preferred.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or home care setting.
  • Compassionate, flexible, and committed to delivering high standards of care.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting others.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including short-notice coverage.
  • Full, clean driving license.
  • Own Car.
