Company Description We are now looking for a Raw Material Manager Asia who will be part of our leadership team. Our journey on securing everyday accessibility to affordable and responsible sourced raw material is not new. We in the Raw Material Area have got the leadership to drive the overall IKEA raw material strategy, we have integrated scope for responsible sourcing of raw materials and regional teams working on the deployment agenda across the business. In Raw Material Area, the Regional Manager plays important role in our business process as below: Lead the work in the regional Raw Material team supporting the business teams towards the agreed regional and global goals. Leading, coaching, and developing a high performing team and as part of the management team lead the overall Raw Material agenda. Job Description As a Raw Material Manager, you will: Secure IKEA´s core competence in raw material trade and industry. Contribute to the development of raw material strategic directions. Lead the competence sharing and implementation of best practices between categories, Industries, growing/extraction owners to optimize value chain efficiency in total IKEA. Secure that all relevant responsible sourcing of raw material requirements are developed and implemented. On assignment, initiate/steer/lead value-chain project within the value chain from growing/extracting to components. Analyze the current supply chains, identify efficiency gaps and propose actions to capture the opportunities in IKEA´s value chains. Represent IKEA in relevant forums Deliver market intelligence for the region. Responsible for driving the Leadership and Competence agenda: Identify needs and gaps, and build leadership and competence plans to meet the short- and long-term business needs. Lead, coach and develop a high performing team that will strongly contribute to reach the objectives and goals Lead the team towards the set goals incl. Raw Material legal compliance. When applicable support IKEA Forest Investments. Qualifications We are looking for a dynamic leader who are passionate to an impact through collaboration and innovation. Key qualifications include: Strong understanding of IKEA Business model and IKEA Business model for growth Understanding of how your everyday work adds customer value. Strong understanding of Raw material management, the Raw Material Industry and trade, and raw material processing Strong ability to lead team in remote environment, coach and mentor, lead through involving and engaging people Strong ability to analyze a business, identifying and navigating risks Understanding of business, sourcing raw materials over distant supply chain and production related experience. Ability to build strong relationships and to build trust with external stakeholders and NGOs Passion for business and people, motivated to have impact on both business and sustainability goals Always look for better ways, committed to high standards in everything you do.
