SENIOR RAW MATERIAL TESTING TECHNICIAN

As QuidelOrtho continues to grow, we are seeking to appoint a Senior Raw Material Testing Technician to join our Quality Assurance & Quality Compliance department in Pencoed on a permanent basis. This role will work a regular day’s shift pattern.

Responsibilities

YOUR NEW ROLE:

Reporting to the Quality Labs Leader, the RMT Senior Technician is responsible for carrying out testing and release of raw materials for use in both immunodiagnostics and immunoheamatology products manufactured at Pencoed, in accordance with documented controlled procedures.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Understanding of the role of Raw Material Testing within the QO Organisation
  • Carrying out raw material testing
  • Analysis and documenting the test data obtained from the scheduled testing against set criteria and determine whether any unexpected events have occurred and require further investigation.
  • Completing ERP transactions.
  • Escalation of unexpected test results to Quality Labs Leader.
  • Maintain a safe working environment through knowledge and compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment regulations.
  • Input into internal compliance audits as required
  • Ensures that all activities are carried out in compliance with all regulations and laws governing business and quality operations (QSR/GMP, ISO, etc.).
  • Supporting and training new colleagues
  • Performing equipment calibration and maintaining the relevant records
  • Liaise with internal customers to discuss testing requirements and scheduling
  • Liaise with external customers to obtain required documentation e.g. certificates of analysis
