Job Description Raw Materials Buying Planner (confectionary, snack and Grocery) Norwich - Monday to Friday office hours Valeo Foods in Norwich have a new role for a Raw Materials Buying planner. The role is to work alongside our Factory General Manager / Manufacturing Manager Site Operations Teams to oversee the strategic material planning processes to enable operational and production continuity Key Responsibilities include: Plan/Schedule/Raise all Packaging/Raw Materials and Tanker orders for site against the forecast numbers which are issued weekly. Monitor all Promotions and Events within the forecast and ensure the packaging is available to achieve the Launch date Order all new materials/re designs within the required timescale Order all packaging from the warehouse for the following days plans – send Picking List to warehouse Check all packaging is in stock for the next 2 weeks plans Challenge Purchasing on stock holdings/ minimum order qty’s Support Company systems including; BRC, HACCP and CCP adherence throughout the site. Prepare required Materials information for IBP meeting as and when required. Monitor Material stock and ensure they are within policy levels. Complete Activity Notes for Packaging investigation and Resolution on all Material Variances and Material transactions (works orders/scanning/errors/BOMS) Cover for Site Scheduler in their absence Control of daily / weekly / monthly stock takes for the factory Qualifications Knowledge / Skills / Experience Previous experience within a similar role is essential Proficiency in forecasting and budgetary control within a manufacturing environment Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence others Sound organisational and decision-making skills Additional Information What we offer you in return Matched pension scheme Death in service Cycle to work scheme Canteen Retailer discount platform Staff discount And plenty more!
