Description Seres Engineering & Services LLC is interviewing for the position of RCRA Compliance Assessor (Environmental Technician) providing support to a Hazardous Waste Management Services contract at Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield (HAAF), GA. This position performs aspects for Hazardous Waste accumulation inspection, RCRA compliance inspection, facility assistance visits, training assistance, and Spill Response oversight at Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield; conducts all tasks in compliance with state, federal, and FSGA/HAAF environmental and sustainability policies as directed; performs routine tasks as scheduled on time, safely, and in the best interest of the military mission while addressing environmental concerns; performs other duties as assigned by the project manager. This position is primarily located at Fort Stewart, GA with an expected work scheduled Monday through Friday, 0730-1600 plus the potential for after-hours spill response coordination. Tasks and Responsibilities: Conduct work, inspections, and consult in a professional, respectful, and consistent manner. Assist with waste characterization, sampling, and compliance checks. Storage area, motor pool, and training unit inspections and facility assistance visits to provide technical support and guidance regarding environmental compliance and best practices. Spill Response assistance, oversight, and consultation. Daily activity logging, monthly reporting, and tracking. Vehicle operation. Completing inspections, checklists, observing and trend tracking. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Must possess a valid state driver's license. Able to work in an outdoor environment, standing, and walking during extended periods of time. Capable of gaining legal access to Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield. 40 Hour HAZWOPER training preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience working in the industry. Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a routine basis. Must read, write, and speak English.
Responsibilities
Perform RCRA compliance inspections and hazardous waste accumulation checks at Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield. Provide technical support for spill response oversight and maintain detailed activity logs and monthly reports.
