TRAC Associates is seeking a Reentry Peer Mentor with lived experience of incarceration and reentry to join our team. We believe the voices of those who have walked this path are the most powerful in helping others succeed. If you’ve personally navigated the challenges of returning home from incarceration and want to use that experience to uplift others, we want to hear from you.
This role will start at our Seattle office (3rd & Pike) and, within 1-2 months of hire, transition to an onsite location in the Rainier area.

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

As a Peer Mentor, you will be a guide, a supporter, and a source of hope for people rebuilding their lives. By sharing your own journey, you’ll provide insight, encouragement, and practical support to help participants overcome barriers and move toward stability, growth, and employment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build trust and authentic relationships with participants through shared experience and empathy.
• Perform needs assessments and work with staff to create individualized plans for success.
• Provide mentorship, emotional support, and practical tools for reintegration.
• Support participants with career exploration, vocational training, and job search assistance.
• Connect participants to supportive services and resources as needed.
• Collaborate with community partners and maintain relationships that strengthen the program.
• Track progress, meet program goals, and contribute to a positive team culture.
