Description

FULL TIME, OPEN ENDED

It’s never been a better time to join us. We are currently expanding our portfolio and have established Loughborough Law within the School of Social Sciences and Humanities.
We are seeking exceptional individuals to join us in a range of roles driving this exciting new venture forward.
We are looking for Readers to develop and implement Loughborough Law in conjunction with the Head of Law, the wider School and University.
We are looking for critical, socio-legal expertise in the discipline of Law, particularly in the areas of public law, property/land law, EU law/transnational legal regimes, company and commercial law, law and technology, environmental law and sports law.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate:

  • a track record of high-quality research, research-led teaching and curriculum development commensurate with the level of appointment;
  • a record of excellence which has contributed to the furtherance of knowledge and impact within their field and is externally recognised, commensurate with the level of appointment;
  • a clear trajectory towards achievement at a higher academic level;
  • a commitment to developing the relationship between law and social justice in research and teaching;
  • ability to work collectively and collaboratively with colleagues in building Loughborough Law’s programmes and profile.

The roles offer a unique opportunity to shape and drive this new pathway and work with other academic staff to contribute to the University’s broader Strategy of “Creating Better Futures. Together.”
If you feel you have the expertise, experience and skills to help drive our strategy forward, we look forward to hearing from you.
Staff from under-represented groups in higher education and the law discipline, including those from racialised minorities, who have a physical or invisible disability, or are neurodivergent, are particularly encouraged to apply. The University is a Disability Confident employer, a member of the Stonewall Diversity Champion Scheme and holds Race Equality Charter and Athena SWAN bronze awards.
