Interested in helping students achieve academic success? If so, consider a tutor position with Sylvan Learning Centre in Spruce Grove. Sylvan is recruiting individuals who can teach Sylvan programs in reading, math, writing, and study skills, as well as instructors who can tutor high school math, chemistry, physics, biology, English, and social studies. For in-centre instruction, students of various grade levels are taught in a 3:1 setting, with individualized instruction provided to each student. Tutoring hours are 4-7 pm on Wednesday and Thursday and 10-2 pm on Saturday. Position needs to be filled for Wednesdays from 4-7 pm.
Applicants with a B.Ed. degree are preferred, and applicants are accepted who have a degree or who are in the 3rd or 4th year of a degree program. The person who best qualifies has a positive attitude, works well with students of all ages, and is an effective motivator.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $16.00-$20.00 per hour
