JOB DESCRIPTION:

· Delivering ready-mix concrete in a safe and timely manner
· Mix and deliver concrete in a timely fashion per ticket instructions
· Visually inspect mix, slump, and verify load size to maintain quality during the transfer from plant to jobsite
· Assemble concrete chutes and operate truck controls during the pour
· Provide timely and effective customer service by working with the customer to solve unexpected issues and anticipate future customer needs
· Maintain delivery ticket information and record waiting time and water added on site
· Maintain communication with dispatcher/batcher (at plant, in transit, on site)
· Inform the dispatcher/batcher of unsafe conditions, alternative routes, scope of job, estimated time to be taken on job, returning concrete and issues/complaints regarding concrete
· Maintain a clean, organized, mechanically sound, and safe truck
· Perform minor roadside repairs
· Ensuring fueling truck does not interfere with production requirements
· Assist with maintenance and repair of trucks and plant
· Maintain driving records
· Perform circle checks and pre-trip vehicle inspections, including air brakes (Driver Log)
· Perform plant/yard duties as assigned by dispatcher/batcher/plant manager
· Adhere to all health & safety precautions and rules specified by federal, provincial, and company rules including but not limited to: wearing PPE, attending safety meetings, performing pre-trip vehicle inspections, complete vehicle inspection reports, and reporting unsafe conditions, routes, or accidents
· Report issues and incidents to management

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

· Minimum Two-Year AZ/DZ truck driving experience is required
